IOSM 2024

Forged from a collaboration between the Satellite Applications Catapult and the UK Space Agency, IOSM 2024 is a new, global conference for the IOSM industry. 

The IOSM industry is at a turning point, offering real opportunities for organisations and nations to build a leading role in the market. 

IOSM 2024 will bring together the IOSM community to discuss the current and future development of IOSM capabilities - the delivery of which will drive the global IOSM market. It will demonstrate how IOSM is essential to the successful commercialisation of orbital Space and beyond, and how it provides incredible opportunities to improve our lives on Earth, by delivering greater sustainability, enhance quality of life and higher economic growth. 

What is IOSm?

IOSM encompasses inspection, repair, assembly and even recycling of assets in Earth orbit. It also includes the deployment of facilities in Space that can manufacture materials at scale - materials which can be produced in the micro-gravity at a much higher quality than if made on Earth, or which are only able to be produced in space.  

The IOSM industry also presents opportunities for a supporting eco-system of essential services including ground segment, training and skills, investment, insurance and regulation, of of which are vital for the IOSM market to grow and thrive.
